True Colors

Back in November my sister took my son to see the movie Trolls. He loved the Justin Timberlake song, so for Christmas my sister bought my son the soundtrack. He opened it up right away, and as we were listening to it, my sister told me when the song "True Colors" played she got choked up during the movie. Since then my son has been playing the CD non-stop, and every time "True Colors" comes on I tear up. On New Year's Eve I actually cried.

I familiar with Cyndi Lauper's version of this song. I actually had the album on vinyl. The words aren't new to me, but something about this point in my life and those words just converged and touched a piece of my soul. So I decided to share those lyrics with a little bit of myself.
